September is here and the cool Fall chills are on the way. Let's get straight to the fuller bodied wines this Fall season.
What's in the collection:
- Iolei Vermentino di Sardegna — Full figured, exotic fruits, touch of salt, lengthy finish. Bake a branzino stuffed with lemon, garlic, parsely
- Battaglio Barbera d'Alba — a Barbera worth revisiting. ripe blackberry, spice, vanilla, clean finish. 2022 top vintage for this one.
- Francesco Fiori Cagnulari Serra Juales — from a remote village called Usini; ancient grape with tons of antioxidants; red purple color, the intense perfume, and rich texture will give you a new but ancient experience.
- Tuscania Chianti Classico Riserva 2019 — Super clean and polished Chianti. It's like taking an old foto and sharpening the image. very tasty.
The backroads of Italy are where the good stuff lives.
— Tony Margiotta
