TerreSacre Tintilia del Molise. In the year 1900, at the Paris World's Fair, a Tintilia Wine won a gold medal. Then the wine disappeared for 100 years. Tintilia has reemerged over the past 2 decades and about a dozen families make it. In the rustic region of Molise in south Italy, the Tinilia grape now thrives. At 885 feet in elevation and overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the mountain and sea climates merge at the TerreSacre vineyards. 100% Tintilia comes from hand-harvested and selected grapes and aged in steel vats to show off the nuanced detail of this rare grape. Full body, with fresh and mature blackberries, dark penetrating pigments of red shades, pepper, vanilla, and savory undertones on a long finish. 10,000 bottles handcrafted per annum. I believe Tintilia will become one of the great red wines of Southern Italy.
